Winter League 2023 – Dublin Lawn Tennis Council

Dear member,

Winter League commences on Sunday 22nd January. Men play on Sunday mornings, normally around 11 am, while Ladies play on Sunday afternoons. Each team consists of 3 doubles pairings.

Matches are played weekly for 5 weeks in a round-robin format, finishing on February 25th. Following that, clubs in the top 2 of each section are entered into playoffs, which is a knockout format. The round of 16 takes place on 5th March, with Quarter Finals on 11th March, Semi-Finals on 12th March, and Finals on 26th March.

We have entered 3 Ladies’ teams as follows:

Class 4 – Ladies 1

Class 7 – Ladies 2

Class 8 – Ladies 3

We have entered 3 Men’s teams as follows:

Class 6 – Men’s 1

Class 7 – Men’s 2

Class 8 – Men’s 3

You will be able to see the results of the matches in this link

Anyone interested in playing Winter League or anyone who wishes to sub this year and who has not already done so, please sign up by replying to this email ( or contacting Iarla on WhatsApp by Monday 9th January 2023.

We will be continuing with our League Practice sessions on Tuesday nights, starting back in January. These sessions will help us establish the teams and doubles pairings for league and we would suggest that you do try and attend.
