how to play more?

WANT TO PLAY MORE TENNIS?

Play social tennis

There are social tennis evenings for men (Mondays), ladies (Wednesdays), men and ladies (Thursdays and Sunday mornings) and Saturday supervised tennis for juniors – you don’t need a partner and you’ll meet more members.

Ask!

If you meet players in Bective that you have a great game with – ask them if they ‘d like to play more. Talk to the Committee –  the men’s and ladies’ Captains often know someone else looking for games. Other Committee members are also very happy to help you.

WhatsApp groups

There are some formal and informal WhatsApp groups in Bective – ask to to be included; the tennis Captains and Committee members are usually a good source for this information

Group coaching & drills

Sign up for group coaching & drills sessions when they arise – they’re a great way to meet others of  similar standard and improve your basics!

Enter tournaments and competitions in the club

These are mostly graded to suit different standards of tennis – these will  help to improve your game and meet other members.

Play league Tennis

Become part of a league team representing Bective and play in the Dublin Lawn Tennis Leagues that run throughout the year. These teams play against other clubs in Dublin.  There are different grades from Class 1 to Class 7 that should suit most players. Your club Captains will be able to help!
