A quick introduction

About DLTC

The Dublin Lawn Tennis Council runs inter club tennis leagues in the greater Dublin area.

The Council has been in operation since 1902 when Men’s Summer League commenced with 12 Clubs. Ladies Summer League started in 1911. The Council is made up of active tennis members from Clubs in Dublin.

We run Winter League, Summer League, Mixed League, Senior League, Floodlight League and Junior League throughout the year. Over 70 Clubs participate in the Leagues.

Yearly Schedule

DLTC - Leagues

Summer league:

Held in May/June on Mon/Tues/Wed evenings for ladies and at the weekends for men

Teams consist of seven players: three singles and two doubles pairings

Senior League (Over 35, O/45 and O/55):

Held in Aug/Sept/Oct Sunday mornings for Men Sunday afternoon for ladies.

Teams consist of three doubles pairings

Mixed League:

The mixed leagues is played on Friday evenings throughout July/August. Each team consists of three mixed doubles pairings.

Floodlight league:

Held throughout Oct and Nov on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Teams consist of four players: two singles and one doubles. Draw on the night decides who plays singles and who plays doubles.

Winter league:

Held throughout Jan/Feb/Mar the men’s matches are held on Sunday mornings and ladies on Sunday afternoons.

Teams consist of three pairs of doubles.
